Dodgers, LA County Fair and Hello Kitty

Hello everyone! It’s been a few weeks since I last updated but I have been busy with things since moving. I can definitely say that I have enjoyed my first month living in California. I was able to spend lots of time with my honey (Carlos) and we were able to do lots of fun things together. Today I am sharing some of my favorites. Btw. HAPPY FALL TIME!

Dodgers Game

My first Dodgers game in LA! They played the SanFran Giants and won. Which was awesome because I hear now they are on a losing streak… But regardless , I’ll be a Red Sox’s Fan for life! haha

Carlos still had a price tag on his hat. ^-^ He just bought it from the stadium. ha!

LA County Fair

We went on a Wednesday night which ended up working out great because there was hardly any lines for the rides or food. Back home in Mass. we have something in my hometown we have a large fair as well called “The Big E”. It has more specialty New England foods but not as many rides as the LA County Fair. Carlos won the first game we played and gave me a Hello Kitty stuffed animal. She’s so cute. haha!

Beach Essentials

I love the beach and now that I am in SoCal I want to take full advantage of it and the warm water. haha!

Today, I am sharing my beach essentials. I like to keep it simple when it comes to products at the beach. I don’t ever wear any makeup because I know I’ll be going in the water all day. But I do make sure to bring a separate face sunscreen and a body sunscreen.

I just recently tired out the spray body sunscreen and dry oil. I have to say I love them! Especially for the beach, when you are all sandy and don’t want to get even more sandy… the spray comes to the rescue. I usually use a tanning oil when at the beach (just to tan my body for a bronzy glow) but never my face. The oils I use to use were heavy and left everything oily. This dry spray works just as well for tanning and doesn’t leave any oil residue, so you can get your tan on and keep fresh all at the same time.

As for the face sunscreen I use this Korean brand (secret key). It came in one of my memeboxes and I’ve been hooked on it. It’s high protection and I feel like Korean made sunscreens work so well. I have to say ALWAYS wear a higher sunscreen on your face when at the beach. Gotta prevent those winkles girl!

And of course, one of the best things for skin is taking a dip in the ocean. The saltwater helps to clear up blemishes.

Lastly, a SPF lip balm to protect the lips from spots and sunglasses to protect your eyes. I always go by this when at the beach (protect face, neck, lips, hands and eyes from sun, tan body and drink lots of water). Fresh aloe vera ice cubes to rub on my skin afterwards. Helps to soothe skin from long day in the sun.

Hot Cheetos! I don’t know why but after you come out from swimming in the ocean for a while and then eat a snack of hot cheetos they taste extra good. haha! I also make sure to pack sandwiches, fruit, juices and waters.

I Moved to California!

Hey everyone! Just a quick update. I moved to California! I haven’t been able to update between last week and the time I moved (which was this last Wednesday) because I am just settling in with everything. I didn’t drive across country (from Massachusetts) with my things, I actually took a plane. I was sending boxes with lots of my items the last few weeks but unpacking is a very tedious process. haha!IMG_2207But look out for more makeup and outfit posts very soon. I am super excited to be in Cali and see what opportunity is here.

In the meantime, I have been enjoying all the places I missed eating at. The one thing I love about Cali, is that you never run out of options of places to eat at!  Here is some pics of the deliciousness I’ve been loving.
